SUMMARY:

NHE Carpentry was pleased to work with Galliford Try on the new Merrist Wood College and University Centre in Guildford, helping deliver high-quality internal carpentry elements as part of this important education project. Our package included doorsets and ironmongery, skirting and window boards, and wall corner protection throughout the development.

The wider scheme has created two new teaching buildings and specialist learning spaces designed to support a broad range of land-based and vocational subjects. Galliford Try describes the development as bringing modern teaching facilities to the campus, including specialist rooms and workshop areas that support practical, career-focused learning.

The completed facilities include study rooms, equine service classrooms, arboriculture workshops, horticultural service classrooms, public health services, ICT, dog grooming, horticultural science and habitat management spaces. Designed to provide a modern environment that helps students achieve their ambitions, the project is another strong example of NHE delivering quality carpentry work within the education sector.
